Today I discuss a bill that is being proposed in Kentucky, by a Republican, which will make it a crime, a Class B misdemeanor, if they (protesters or rioters), “accost, insult, taunt, or challenge a law enforcement officer with offensive or derisive words, or by gestures or other physical contact, that would have a direct tendency to provoke a violent response from the perspective of a reasonable and prudent person.”
Well isn’t that vague and ridiculous, lumping in words with violent acts. How convenient. And isn’t it always the way. Bad policy always begins with well-meaning Republicans, unable to comprehend the slippery slope they put us on, as not-well-meaning leftists eventually get a hold of it.
