This past November, an incident occurred at the University of Texas, San Antonio. A student, Paige Burgess, who just happened to be black, was escorted out a lecture hall by campus police.

She was evidently being disruptive in class and putting her feet up on the chairs in front of her. Her biology professor, Anita Moss, who just happened to be white, had warned her, and the entire class, of such behavior – keep their feet of the chairs, talking to one another during lectures, cell phones, etc., and to “be respectful in class.”

No disciplinary action was taken toward the student, but the professor was suspended … twice for merely attempting to enforce the school’s rules.
